Get Ready for Home Emergencies

Only 7% of Americans are adequately prepared for an emergency. Natural disasters, disease outbreaks and other hazards can occur at any time. September is National Get Ready Month. Have a "texting drill", to help get ready. For more info on getting ready for emergencies go to the American Public Health Association's website.

Preparedness for Kids

Sesame Workshop, along with its project partners, has created Let’s Get Ready! A video about planning together for emergencies with tips, activities, and other easy tools to help the whole family prepare for emergencies!
