The Framingham Police Department Records Bureau provides services to both the department as well as the general public. In the records bureau all department records are stored. Through the department's computer system, information from all Officer's reports are entered. This allows all records to be tracked and located.

In addition the Bureau is where persons involved in these incidents* can obtain copies of police reports*, or in the case of a motor vehicle accident, the accident report. Residents can also obtain application forms for different licenses, such as Firearms Identification Cards (FIDs) and License to Carry as well as licenses to drive a taxi or for hawkers and peddlers. These licenses are under the direction of the Licensing Officer, another division of the Administrative Services.
